I am loving my disease prevention/wellness work I do!  I am still amazed after 8 years that I get paid for sharing info on disease prevention and wellness.  Love it, Love it, Love it!!    Oh yeah....you can do it to!  I do it from home, on the road, at the grocery store, at the girls sports activities and any where I want and any time I want!

Hello!  Thanks for asking..I love to share that story!

It is kind of interesting and I believe everything happens for a reason!  I had undergone a health scare, which turned out to be nothing (thank God!) But, soon after a Respiratory therapist friend called and left me a message telling me I HAD to call her, she had something she HAD to tell me.  I went to bed that night (too late to caller her) thinking to myself..."hmmm....wonder what kind of gossip she has to tell me".  Well, I called the next morning and she laughed realizing that I probably thought that based on the content of her message.  But she told me she had just attended this health lecture and had some great info to share.  She was so excited, like I had never seen her before. I stopped by and grabbed some DVD's and listened on our way to the near by town where everyone goes to shop.  It just made sense to me and I had been looking for something to get me healthy.  I had always taken care of others, since I was 16 and started in the hospital work.  I knew I needed to start taking care of me and this was an easy way to start.  BUT, I wanted to start my own business to get mine as affordable as possible and hence started my business too (thinking I would never actually do the business!). WELL...I can tell you that in 1 week I felt something different and in two weeks, I felt better than I had since my early 20's at least.  So, I will be 55 in two more weeks and STILL feel better than I did on my 20's.  I thought I was healthy before (except for no energy, hair falling out by hands full, IBS, etc) but my health scare pushed me into realizing that I was heading down a path I didn't want to head down.  So, I felt soooo good, I started telling everyone that didn't see it in me. The checks started coming in and well...I loved telling people how good I felt and I LOVED hearing how good others were feeling or things they were seeing or just that they knew full well they too needed to start practicing prevention....the checks started growing more and I started getting excited!   So, for about 8 yrs, I have been sharing easy ways to get healthy (one step at a time) and also share info about my product and I get a satisfaction that I never did get before in conventional nursing roles.  AND I am going to be able to retire far more comfortably than I ever dreamed.  People are so willing to spend some money on prevention now as to go to the Doctor becasue they have no insurance!  Makes sense to me. I read an article in the paper just today about that same fact.  And prior to the economy issues, people did not want to end up like their parents (with health issues) and the scientific research made sense to them too.  So, here I am!   I love to do exhibit booths like at the Diabetes Expo and share various things, encourage people, and offer them an option that did amazing things for me. AND I get to meet all kinds of people  I would have never met before and on and on!  Much Fun all the time and I do as much or as little as I want to. Thats about it!
