I have a question and I cant find out the answer Please help. I work at a Health and Rehab facility in Ga. I have been there for 3 weeks and I am ready to quit but need the money as we all do. My question is.....What does the law say about nurse pt ration in Georgia? I have 14-19 pts on a good evening (which is a nightmare) twice now I have had 23 pts. This includes any medications, assessments, treatments, admissions (which only come on 2nd shift and we have no secretary) this also includes talking to Dr', following up on orders and answering phones. Oh I almost forgot the documentation Who has time to chart? I am looking for a job on my days off and I am just wondering if this is all legal? Thank you for any input I am an LPN and have loved being one for years now I just dont know about this. The pts have no clue neither do the families.
