| Posted about 4 years ago Have you been using ATI through your whole program? If so, reveiw your ATI books, and practice the non-proctored exams. A good strategy is to practice your non-proctored exams until you are scoring 100%. Another tactice is to practice 10 NCLEX questions a day. Use a timer and do so in 15 minutes. Once you are scoring 100%, drop it to 14 minutes, then 13 minutes and so on. You are building test taking muscle. These are strategies I have my RN students do, and it helps.
Good luck! |

| Posted about 4 years ago Don't get worked up about it. You're taking this test to predict how well you will do on the NCLEX-PN. ATI will not show you what questions you missed, but it will give you a printout that breaks questions down into fine categories and shows you where you fall compared to school and national benchmarks. You'll see where you missed questions and where you did well. This allows you to plan your study on your weak areas so you can improve before you take the NCLEX. My school uses ATI. Scores are broken down into "levels" Level 3 means you are exceeding NCLEX standards. Level 2 means you meet NCLEX standards and are expected to pass. Level 1 means you are marginal but will probably pass. Below Level 1 means you are not meeting NCLEX standards, and therefore are highly unlikely to pass. Check out the ATI website (www.atitesting.com). They may have a study guide you can purchase. I'm a bit surprised you don't already have one--I thought it came with the test. You will be taking the test online. Your faculty does not have access to the test and won't know what's on it other than general categories. Most importantly, get a good night's sleep the night before, eat a good breakfast, and do some meditation before you take the test. Your state of mind is just as important as anything else in test taking. Good luck! |
