Does anyone use any iPhone nursing software? I just got an iPhone and I'd like to know what the best resources are out there.

Hey!

I've had the iPhone for about a year now and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  I can't say if I'll actually use the nursing/medical apps during practice or not but they are a HUGE help while I'm in school.  It's so nice to have a drug reference, RN Dx, Interventions, Tabers etc etc right at the palm of my hand.  No books to lug around......it's great!

There are some apps that aren't worth downloading but usually if you take a look at the reviews it will give you a good picture of what you're getting.  Here's my favorites......

Epocrates drug reference (FREE)

Skyscape nursing/medical reference vendor (The app is free but you have to purchase individual programs)  From the Skyscape store I've got Davis's Drug Guide, Taber's, a medical calculator, Dx tests reference, nursing dx and interventions, med surg fast facts and a bunch of other things.  I bought something called the nursing constellation from Skyscape which is a bundle of many resources for a reduced price.

Saunder's NCLEX - RN Review

Mosby's Med-Surg NCLEX - RN   (This one and Saunder's both give over a 1000 NCLEX questions for practice and I've seen many of them on HESI.....great way to practice on the go!

I have a bunch more.....but these are the ones I use most often....especially the Skyscape.  That one is a little pricey BUT if you think about ALL the books you then don't have to buy it's a great deal (it's all full-text too with easy to navigate search bars)

Hope this helps!
