Aside from being a registered nurse, I am open to possibilities in life. I did not limit myself in the area of nursing alone because I am an adventurer. When I think about it, I just smile.I feel blessed.I am also a fire officer 1 and certified scuba diver.

Taking care of sick patients, of own family, of others really gets a lot of your skills and energy so why not give ourselves a time to try other things that will make us also feel we are normal.hahahaha.

One of my unforgettable adventure is cruising the underground river of Puerto Princesa city last month with my husband when he returned from Hawaii  so he scheduled a date for both of us and arranged a trip, It was good for both of us being away from each other for sixty days; we joined a group tour which is very minimal cost and all covered for only $62 dollars for both of us for a one day tour, food included during lunch, van transportation, boat transportation, and all permits arranged by the travel agency.

My husband asked permission from the local Fire Marshall to give me a time to spend with him and he agreed because he understand our situation.

So we left early at 6 a.m. and boarded the van so we were happy and we met our group tour mates which composed of other foreign nationals, the road going to Sabang from Puerto Princesa is smooth and some road are still under construction which is still rough. We travelled for an hour going to Sabang.

When we arrived in Sabang our tour guide arranged for two boats going to the St. Paul Subterranean park only a maximum of four people touring are allowed in one boat. The boat is made up of typical filipino fisherman boat.We had life vest while on the boat and we took pictures.

we are a mixture of variety that day from different cultures and countries, my husband is american, I am filipino, then a couple  from Canada on their honeymoon trip, the other couple is people from Belgium, and two filipino dating.

The sea water is so clear and so clean and the mountains are so beautiful and the monkeys are plenty and monitor lizards just walk around the St. Paul Subterranian Park.We landed at the park after thirty minutes of crusing the open sea.

That was a great day and we enjoyed the moment. There is nothing to be compared than being with your love one and getting to know people you do not expect you will get to meet in one tour over here where I am.We registered our names before going inside the cave and wear vest and helmet and ride a fiber glass boat.

The boatman is so entertaining and have explained so well the historical background of this amazing creation of God.My thusband laughs but I said honey the boat is shaking when you laugh so please contain yourself since the boat is so small and the edge of water is so close to the boat. The boatman tour guide strived to speak english and he was so good in reasoning, hahahaha. We did not get bored. He used paddle up to 1.5 kilometer of cruising the underground river.

Inside of the underground is dark but we have one spotlight which is being handled by one of our companion tourist the Canadian couple husband.

The cave have stalagmites and stalactites with different formation from the dripping of water from the ceiling, the air is cool because of the combination of water and breeze coming from the mouth of the cave. There are bats sleeping and hanging on top of the ceiling and also sleeping snake in one spot which is undisturbed but never attempt to touch it of course.

The underground river is voted for one of the seven wonders of nature and we voted for it to become number one.

After that moment, we return to the park going back from inside the cave. Then we were guided to see the monkey trail. The Belgian couple decided to walk on foot back to Sabang. We used the boat back to Sabang with other group tour mates.

We had lunch in one resort with a buffet of food served, eat all you can.

My husband had bought me two piece, hahaha for the first time i wore that in open sea.So we had swimming and then he took the opportunity of that moment for intimacy.hahaha.

I feel great. Anyways, I praise God for giving us the time for our family.

I  like this kind of adventures free from stress.

I am looking forward to having more adventures in the future which makes me feel excited.

Maybe one of my future adventure is to write a book about so many adventures that can enlighten the life of other people.

So my fellow nurses, its your turn.
