Hello,
You do not have to become an LPN first, go stright to an RN program, make sure it is accedited by NLN. Unfortualtey you will probably not find a college that will take credits for your experience, however you can request to test out of first semester of an RN program. Ususally this is VS, handwashing, basic first aide etc. You will find that clinicals will be easier for you and may get some flack about "having to learn it all over" Don;t listen to that, your experience will serve you well. Look on NLN site and local hospitals for grants available.
