I have five questions. I am in my first semester of graduate school working toward a Master of Science degree in Accounting. However, I am interested in nursing, particularly in case management and human services. I am looking into earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing. However, I may have to become a Licensed Practical Nurse first due to school and other financial situation.
My first question is, if I were to become an LPN, is it possible to become a case manager and help patients with their medical needs as well as their financial needs?
Second, does earning an MSN with a concentration in family nursing help bolster a career in human services?
Also, as far as human services is concerned, would it be out-of-bounds for a nurse to want to help patients find proper and affordable healthcare needs (medications, affordable doctor visits) as well as things like housing or other basic necessities?
Is it possible to use an accounting degree in nursing?
Finally, is it helpful to earn certification in medical transcription and medical billing and coding along with a degree in nursing?
