| Posted almost 4 years ago I am so sorry. I know how you must feel right now. I am taking my TEAS RN nursing entrance exam tomorrow. I hate to fail something. I would advised you to study out of Saunders. I studied out of Saunders and Mosby. I heard alot of horror stories about Kaplain. I hear it so so expensive too. Use the Cd's that come with both books. You want to get 80 to 100 percent correct. Keep on pushing. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Hello. I have already taken my NCLEX last 2006 and I passed. I just studied the Saunders and the Q & A by Saunders...also include the 2 cds. It is very helpful and effective. No need for other reviewers. I also have heard about Kaplan review center, as far as I know Kaplan is helpful for doctors who want to past MLE. This is their line of expertise. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Thanks to all who have answered my pleas. I too have heard that Saunders is a great book. I'll do just that and purchase it. Please keep me in your prayers and I will do the same.
God Bless you all.

| Posted almost 4 years ago I'm so sorry to hear that. It feels like it is impossible to study for the nclex. The saunders review is good and also just taking tons and tons of nclex questions. I just took Nclex yesterday... It cut me off at 84 questions, I have no idea if I passed. But study infection control, meds and labs. |

I understand your fear. I graduate in Dec. and I am already freaked about the NCLEX. I have a friend who is taking it for the 4th time next month. I have alot of friends that said that they used the Mosby NCLEX cards and that they really helped. Also there is a web site if you go on google and then type in 3500 NCLEX and it gives you questions in each system and as well as Med surg - OB - Peds and medications. Best of Luck to you but don't ever give up your dream ~~~ I don't want to discourage you but I also know someone who took almost 1 and 1/2 years to pass but she NEVER GAVE UP!!!! | Posted almost 4 years ago I am glad that we are all on same page. I am so freaked out about the NCLEX RN, I am practicing now. I know everyone is saying, you are not in a RN nursing program. I wished I would of prepared early for my RN nursing exam, maybe I would of passed the test the first time, what I did wrong, was not purchasing the study material to ATI, I should done the practice test, I am going to be very prepared the next time around , that TEAS RN nursing entrance exam is a monster, I would of love to take the NCLEX RN anytime. I will prepare myself mentally for three groosome hours with the proper tools, God help, and alot of prayers for all the spirit filled nurses here. God Bless. Good luck to you. I bought the ATI study material and that is what prepared me for the TEAS. I study all the infromation that I can. I take all the practice tests I can for NCLEX because it all can help you to be prepared. Good luck to you. You are in our prayers and have faith, if you want it --you can achieve it. | Posted almost 4 years ago Good luck to you! Don't be down on yourself and what should have been. You can change anything as long as you have the determination. I failed a class when I was 14 weeks from graduation and to change courses and now I know that it was all for a reason. It will make me a better RN in the long run and I am more confident now because not I understand things more fully. You will get there it just may take you a little longer than you thought. Like my one instructor told me when I failed "It's okay because there is more than one way to get to Walmart." At the time I thought STUPID but now I understand and I will get there. | Posted almost 4 years ago I'm going to take my NCLEX soon and I have the Saunders to study from also. I am wondering if this is enough? Should I also take the Kaplan review course? My employer may pay for part of the review. Does anyone have any ideas? |

| Posted almost 4 years ago I would say if your employer will pay for part of the Kaplan review take it. Anything you can do to better your chances is worth it. I use the Mosby index cards for review with my classes. I would say its indvidualized to the person as to what helps you and the type of learner you are. I have Lippencotts review books and I think anything that gives you rational with the answers is good. Thats why I use the Lippencotts. Good Luck with the NCLEX and let us know when you pass. One thing I can say is don't let anxiety get the best of you and always go with your gut feeling on a question and don't second guess yourself and read too much into the questions. ~~~Cheryl~~~ Our service to others is the rent we pay while here on earth!! |
