Showtime has a new series about an ER nurse played by Edie Falco(Sopranos). If anyone wants to preview it, it's showing on Joost.com.It was pretty good in my opinion. Suddenlt shows are now being made to focus on nursing. Jada Pinkett Smitth also has a series on TBS strating 06/06. It's called Hawthorne RN.

If anyone else sees these shows, would love to know what other nurses think. Hollywood very seldom gets things right when it comes to portraying nurses. Lets hope this time they get it right.

I've been watchng The Tudors on showtime for 2 years.    I'm addicted to it.   I saw the previews for the showtime nurse show.........man, I'm not totally sure I'll approve,   There was one where she was slicing a lortab <I'm guessing it was a lortab' with a razor, then did the snorting thing as if it was cocaine.   "Never break, bite or cut up this medication unless you want it to work immedately' or somethng like that.    I have gotten agree that tonight is the last of this years Tudor thngie.    I  think we could learn a little from King Henry VIII.   Ollver Cromwell was sentenced to death for treason because the King's new wife that Cromwell was suppose to arrange was 'fugly' accorcing to the king'  or 'she looks like a horse and I cant consumate my marriage because yadda yadda yadda.   Maybe he needs some 'extenze'. I liked the new horse faced wife.........I thought she was very pretty.  But my new idea is that Madoff..........that jerk in New York that stole billons from the country should be tried for treason and then chop his noggin off.   Even Keven Bacon was ripped off by him............damn.......I love Keven Bacon.   I feel bad that so many were hurt by that jerk.   Maybe Madoffs wife should be tried too.    We could really learn alot from good ole King Henry!    Oh, and the dude that is the head chopper went out drinking the night before the choppin.............and was too drunk to do a good whack..........it was gross.  Eventually one of the royal guards had to finish the choppin.

Jada's show starts June 6th. Can't wait.

TNT, sorry, not TBS. I do get them mixed up. Hey, they both start with"T". LOL!! I have to agree with drug adiiction thing on the showtime show. I don't like that aspect of it.Now the public is going to think we're all drug addicts b/c we are stressed out and having back pain.

Oh, since when does a pharmacist have the license to just give her lortab anyway. Again, hollywood is clueless. No pharmacist can just casually hand pain meds to a nurse. Hello, narcotics are seriously tracked and accounted for! An oversight to say the least.

I'm looking forward to the TNT show. Hopefully, Jada will not be addicted to drugs.

AND HAHAHAHAHA they do both start with a T... I just want to make sure everyone tunes into the right channel :-)

Darn if I didn't miss Jada's show. Fortunately, the rerun alot on that station right?

My hope with Jada is that it will be more realistic and not so anti-nursing.
