Posted 5 months ago By Claire Ligeikis-Clayton, RN (From Bedlam Among the Bedpans) My neighbor's 3-year-old son got a splinter in his foot while he was playing at our summer cottage. After trying unsuccessfully to remove it, his mother told him, "We'll go see Uncle Don. He's a surgeon - he'll get the spliter out." "I dont' want Uncle Don to take it out," the little boy insisted. "I want a real doctor to take out my splinter. I want a nurse!" |

| Posted 3 months ago Its the doctors who stop by for a few minutes to check on the patients and leave. The other medical staff are the ones that actually perfom the hands on and listen to the patient concerns. That was definately cute. mzblkangel |

| Posted 2 months ago I agree with this liitle fellow, because we have the doctors back, but they ususally don't have ours. We also answer the questions for the patients that they rush off and don't give the pateints a chance to ask. |

Haha. Thats funny. Nurses do spend more time with their patients and so sometimes we truly are the best ones to call for help. |
