It is ridiculous!

Men cannot have babies.  Just because you have your breasts removed and take hormones does not make you a man.  This person has a uterus, therefore the person is a woman.

I think that the media helps feed all this non-sense....there are way more important topics to be focused on in the media then if a woman, who is now a man gives birth....He/She wanted so badly to be a man, then why does he continue to do what only women are suppose to do.  I understand his partner is unable to conceive, but come on...  Maybe they can be the next reality TV show. 

If 'she' wanted to be a man so badly, why didn't 'he' have 'his' reproductive organs removed?  The media has sensationalized this to the point where with some people believe that someone born a male can have a baby!  I am a male, and if it was possible for me to have a baby naturally, I would be the first to do so.  My role in the process is to provide the sperm.  I accept my role lovingly.  It makes me no less of a parent than the mother who provided the egg.  We both need each other.  We both have a role to play.  This story is not about a pregnant man, it is about a woman who wanted to be like a man but kept the most important thing that makes her a woman, her reproductive organs!!

I don't believe that it should receive so much attention.  I read some of the book, and the "man" used to be female and still possesses a uterus and ovaries.  So while this is a a transgendered person, "he" is still female, and the doctors gave "him" female hormones instead of the male hormones "he" was taking.  I firmly believe that you cannot change your genetic makeup and inherent gender simply by adding or removing reproductive organs.

the media is taking this out of proportion..like always!!..But the ones I feel sorry are those kids he/she have.Did they ever think how psychologically are going to get the kids prepare for this when they find out..Don't get me wrong,I don't see anything wrong two people from the same gender having kids, but now the kids see mommy and daddy on the outside they are physically diferrent but inside they are the same. He should of had a psychological test done before he change his gender because obviously he still want to feel like a woman. And they wonder why is this world the way it is!!!!

Men do not have uterus, ovaries, etc. I do not find this fascinating at all.  He is still a she to me. This is not miraculous because he is still a she! Just because you have hair on your face and chest does not make you a man because you still have the organs of a female in which you were born with. HELLO PEOPLE!!!! Now when you find a man that was born a man and still have all male organs and they become pregnant then let me know, because that will be MIRACULOUS!!!!!

This he/she will spend eternity paying for it's sins!!! God's wrath is upon it!!!

I wish they would stop calling this "medically altered female" a male. I agree with everyone that only a women has a uterus therefore a "man" can't be pregnant.  NO ONE can change their sex,  you are not only male or female because of your genitals and the way you look externally,  you are male or female because of your genes.  Woman have XX and men XY chromosomes .  There is no doctor that can change that.  This is why I call her a medically altered female not a male.  She will never be a male IMO.  I compare it to this,  If I dyed my dogs hair black and white striped and made it look so much like a zebra that it even fooled people would it be a zebra?  NO it would still be a dog,  it would still bark,  fetch and have the temperment of a dog.  Its the same thing.  Men generally think differently then women,  have more physical strength, often are less emotional than women. Her surgery can not change this about her.  This woman is deceiving herself.  I often hear them say that "I've always felt like a man inside"  (or woman),  my question is how do you know how it feels to be a man since you have never been one? I am very passionate about this topic because I have a cousin that is doing this same thing, having gender reassignment surgery and she is only 23 years old.  She also does not tell the women that she dates that she is a female.  This makes me very upset because they have the right to know she is a medically altered female,  but I digress.  anyway thats how I feel about this pregnant male issue.   

It may  feel good getting all the attention now,but you know what?hell awits you.How can you so proudly defile the work of your creator?It's just unfortunate foe the poor kids......what a confusion  for them.

 This thing is just a modern version of some the  freak shows I used to see when the circus came to town back when I was a kid. Lets stop giving these wackos attention and maybe they will go away!

I think Beatie's story would make an interesting documentary when her kids are older & able to articulate their upbringing. I would like to know why she decided to keep her reproductive organs and how her kids felt growing up in this unique environment. I don't think it's immoral or against what God wanted. If you are a true atheist, why did you even say "I don't think it's....against what god wanted". The fact that you even brought up god in that way makes me question if you are really an atheist???

I agree with all the people that find this an unimportant waste of news space... and probably a fundraiser for the mother.  Of course this is the same society that watches all of the un-reality shows and acts as if Paris Hilton makes a difference in the cosmos.

Thomas is not really a man - take a zebra's stipes away and it is still a zebra.  He still has female reproductive organs so why shouldn't  she/he have a child.  why are so many people so hung up about this?  Single, and unwed movie stars, pop stars, etc. have children every day it seems like and everyone oooh's and ahhh's about their kids.  We have accepted unwed mothers getting pregnant, and aging women getting pregnant and having children in their 40's, and older  because their clock is ticking, so why shouldn't a couple who obviously love each other and want a family have one.    Having a child is a blessing to those who want to have children.  While they are an alternative family, they appear on the outside to be the traditional family unit.    Don't look at this as a "man" having a child, but a "family" having a child.  Bottom line, it is nobody's business but theirs what they do.  As long as they have a loving family unit, take care of the children they are having, and are there for their children who cares!  I just hope they don't end up like the dog and pony show that Jon & Kate plus 8 appears to have turned into.
