i have had a disipline against my license, i had to take a legal aspect of nursing class. now i cant find a job.i have tried all the hospitals in my area, travel nurse jobs and nothing. i was not suspended, revoked, put on probation or anything like that. i feel like i would of been better off if i would of stole a bunch of narcotics or something, at least there is a program for that. i have 24 years as a nurse in critical care and i feel like i have been hung out to dry. what am i sposed to do now. anyone have any advice?

What happened? Send me an email if you do not want to post here. What state are you in? I know of a nurse who had 40 years and she was busted by the board b/c she had one hour short on her CEUs. Sucks.

wow, that is unbelievable! I can't understand why this would make such an impact since you still have a license! not to mention plenty of critical care experience, I am so astonished!

I know here in CA as a new grad it has been super hard finding a job and I thought it's bc I lack experience. I think they are getting really picky about who they hire since they don't have expandable payroll and everything's gone down hill with the economy. That's my take on it, but I wish you best of luck finding a way through this, I'm sure there's gotta be some facilities that could benefit from having you as their employee.
