Posted almost 4 years ago After all the hullabaloo this week, NL editors finally listened to people on this site and created an option in the personal profile section to delete your profile permanently. It is about time that the editors finally listened to people on this site. I can totally see why dmazment got fed up and left. Sometimes it is like just talking to a brick wall on here. And perhaps we can start talking a little more about nursing and less about politics and celebrities. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Im just amazed at how many people take a web site that they can control personally about the issues that they can participate in and choose to gripe over issues that they dont have to comment on instead of the issues that they came to view..! The thing I like about Nursing link is its vast talk of many issues that concern us all and inadvertantly raise eyebrows to issues that are indirect... and yet still. there are those who complain anonymously , rather then pass an issue by. ....just a thought.... if you dont like the subject at hand...find one that you do... the options here are limitless..Enjoy life Rather than make it miserable for others...and for Gods sake if you need to complain...dont do it anonymously....Stand up and be seen for who you are..! We have tried many, many, many times to advocate for the separation of the nursing forums from the non-nursing forums. And many times, we have not gotten ANY response from NL administrators. We have tried to do this in the non-anonymous forums, and no response there as well. As a result, we come here to vent in hopes that maybe someone will finally respond to our requests. Just want to point out that I have been an active member on NL for almost a year now. When I registered last year, I gained tremendously from the nursing-related forums as I am a nursing student and I am still learning. However, when I log on now, all I that I see are the silly games and other garbage in the recent forums. There is absolutely no educational significance in these forums. For this reason, I have begun to visit other nursing forums/websites where there are forums where I can gain valuable nursing knowledge. One main difference is that these other websites are moderated, and therefore every thread/post is read by a moderator before it is put up on the site.This significantly cuts down on a lot of the garbage posts. Maybe when NL administrators wake up and smell the coffee that a lot of their users are unhappy and leaving the site, then they will make the changes to this site that are so desperately needed. |

Easier said than done. We can't get to the nursing forums when the site is bombarded with the games. Also, the nursing forums are almost non-existent because no one actually visits or participates in those forums. Take a look around and you will see that the majority of the forums on this site are no longer nursing-related. |

Ignore the entire site is what many are now doing. I am now on here only once or twice to check my emails from the friends I have made on here. I have been a part of this site since the first day that NL began. I can not get over how the site has changed and cannot get over "nurses" on this site talk to each other. Here is an idea; if you want to play games and see how many points you can rack up by collecting friends, go to a site for that purpose. This site has not been for nurses in a very long time. It is impossible to ignore the foolishness when the foolishness is the number one topic on the site. I feel sorry for new nurses or nursing students who stumble onto this site and discover how ignorant some on this site are and how shoddily they are treated. Nursing Link started out very strong and was a wonderful site for nurses. This is no longer the case. I too will be on other sites. It matters not that on some of the nursing sites you may have to pay a membership fee. You do get what you pay for. They need to change the name of this site form Nursing Link to “Mindless Games Link” or “Bible Thumping 101 Link” I left this site before because of the lack of response from NL staff and the turn that the site has taken. This time I am out of here, like Deb and many others for good. NL has no idea how many productive members on this site they have lost and they do not care. Here is another so long to all. It is too bad that this site turned the way it did as it was once a fantastic nursing site. My guess is that this topic, like Deb’s so long topic will be adjusted by NL staff so that it does not appear under recent discussions. cdnurse |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Ms. CDnurse, i respect your opinion regarding as how you now perceive what the NL is right now, like Ms. Deb, she has also problems about all this thats why she decided to leave. But i dont think your opinion and the some other's opinion really carries a weight on NL. First and foremost, i see NL now as a growing site, many new members are coming in and they declare positive remarks about NL. If the people (nurses most especially) dont find this site, productive or they dont enjoy what they get to see in here, maybe it has been long ago that NL has been "out of the circulation". Your issues about the games are too shallow to put a protest like that seemingly appearing that those members who played in that game are all foolish and mindless. No, please, that is your opinion, we respect that, but kindly respect us , too of our choices. You have been telling us for so long that you are leaving this site,but from time to time, we get to see yu here, why?! Because of the friends that you have in here? Precisely, that's also one of the reasons why we find this site lovable, despite the fact that it is kept always under attack by some of you. Generaly, this site is light, for those who would like to relax from all days work, and meeting friends. If you dont enjoy this site, we hate to see you leave but still your right, but please, dont make most of the people here cheap just because our likes doesnt fit yours. Fair enough? Thanks for listening... I mean no harm..

| Posted almost 4 years ago Some people need to grow up...no one forces you to play the games, if you dont like them move on, there is plenty of other things you could be doing. It's pretty petty when so many people bitch about games....grow up! |
