Posted 5 months ago Hello everyone, I am a new RN. I need advice, is ACLS mandatory prior Nurse Residency Program? I have BLS and AED already. Do all hospitals require ACLS even though you already have BLS and AED certificate? |

| Posted 5 months ago It depends on where you work. If you work Med/Surg, usually all that is required is BLS. ACLS is generally required of ICU's, PACU's, ER's,. Our hospital doesn't even require ACLS to work a med/surg tele unit. Most places give new employees at least 6 months to get ACLS. My extensive military knowledge is not limited to just being in line at the commissary, I also have extensive military knowledge of the 'Class Six'. |
