Hello everyone, I am a new RN. I need advice, is ACLS mandatory prior Nurse Residency Program? I have BLS and AED already. Do all hospitals require ACLS even though you already have BLS and AED certificate?   or it is optional?

It depends on where you work. If you work Med/Surg, usually all that is required is BLS.   ACLS is generally required of ICU's, PACU's, ER's,.  Our hospital doesn't even require ACLS to work a med/surg tele unit.  Most places give new employees at least 6 months to get ACLS.

My extensive military knowledge is not limited to just being in line at the commissary, I also have extensive military knowledge of the 'Class Six'.

Yup, check with the department you're interviewing with.
