| Posted almost 4 years ago Everything is relative; and in varying degrees. California seems to be a bit more extreme, but as it's been pointed out in other posts in this thread; priorities seem to be compromised throughout the US. As always; it just seems to begin on the coasts and eventually infiltrates all the other states; as with any trend throughout our history. That is not intended to be a direct slam against California, it just seems to be the nature of the beast; I just shake my head in disbelief. Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans ~ John Lennon Scott |

Thank you so much for your post. By Saturday, I'll have been to 4 funerals of Marines, killed in Afganistan, and they all lived within 30 miles of my house. My community lined the road between the tiny airport carrying this private in the USMC from Dover AFB, and escorted the casket and his parents by about 120 bikers who escorted the bodies of vets killed in Iraq and Afganistan, in case those wikked protesters try to spit on this kid. He joined the USMC when he was 17, was killed in battle on Thursday...........he was 20 and not even old enough to buy a beer legally. I know he joined the military of his own accord, volunteering and all.. I guess what Im saying is this kid died a hero, Michael Jackson was not a hero. The private killed in Afganistan, fought for our freedom..........He was the hero. Michael Jackson died of whatever, complications with allegations of OD on whatever he paid an md to give him. He has a history of innappropriate behavior with minors..........I know he was not found guilty, and I know the mother of one of the kids he 'allegedly' molested had a history of medicaide fraud........of course they were going for the money. However he was seen, rerun, of his explaining that he slept with the child, gave him milk, etc............ Im sick of the idolization of people who dont deserve all that attention. Who is going to reimburse LA for the cops, guards and all? I feel about the same about Obama. His bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia, geez..............and he's been apologizing for the USA in Europe again. He told Putin in Moscow that the USA did not win the cold war? Obama definately puts popularity over beliefs. He's been in DC and hasnt been to church but maybe once? Maybe he's not a christian and needs to find a mosque. BTW, Camp David is not a church, its a lodge. After waiting for our Marine and his escort to pass, I made the decision to tell my husband that nobody who even likes Michael Jackson is allowed in my home. I use to like MJ back in the '80s........just glad I never bought any cd's. We only have one heart, take care of it! Angie |

| Posted almost 4 years ago I agree with Angie, Becky, and Cuttie.... I totally agree with your last statement Angie....my father does alot with the Patriot Guard, they are the Bikers who block protestors from Military funerals. I think it is sad that a group of people (who by the right of FREEDOM....that is provided for them by these Soliders/Sailors/Marines) feel that it is OK to say the things they say and do the things they do during a family's time of mourning. I just question alot of this MJ stuff....to me it is all very strange. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago I have to agree...I'm SO tired of seeing/hearing all of the MJ coverage. I don't think I've seen media coverage of the death of a person since the Pope croaked a few years back...and even then it wasn't THIS much coverage! I saw the memorial because it was on in EVERY place I went, I couldn't get away from it. The only part that REALLY touched me was at the end when his daughter was trying to speak...that was sad. In a way I don't think she should have been up on stage having to go through that, she is 12 and the media sharks will see that it follows her all of her life. But nonetheless I'm sorry that it happened, it's sad when families are left behind, especially kids..but ENOUGH already! Let them grieve in peace. I also find it TOTALLY inappropriate that California spent so much money on the memorial. For a state that can't even stay financially afloat and is ALWAYS screaming for help from everyone when wildfires break out I have to say that's ballsy. Angie, I'm sorry that our country can't recognize our true heroes any better than we do, sometimes I think we should all boycott the traditional news media until they get the hint. I heard about the soldiers who were killed on our local news, but not until 2 days later near the end of the newscast AFTER all of the MJ crap...it's sickening! |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Yesterday I was at the place where they took M.J's body to the coroner's office. I talked to a shop that is in the same place, they said that the media, and the crowds were so bad, they couldn't hardly leave work. Many of the customers and workers agree with me on, how they are blowing up this M.J thing, one customer said that her mother said that they are treating M.J death like Elvis, and the worker there said, they should put M.J bodies to rest, because he is decaying. They were mad about the fact that they have his brain, and still not burying or cremating him. This thing has turned to a freak show. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health. |

Thanks for your post. I just returned from my 4th funeral this week. Im so proud of the Patriot Guard and it was a pleasure to speak with a couple of them. I had one in cardiac rehab as a patient a few years ago and I remember they are not paid for this service and he was depressed because since his heart attack he was going to be out of work for a while. There is suppose to be a place where you can send donations, any idea where to find the info on that? Im sure it can get expensive for gas, eating on the road and stuff like that. Thanks for any info on this. We only have one heart, take care of it! Angie |

The Patriot Guard is the true freedom fighters of this country to me. They should get alot of media attention alone. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. | Posted almost 4 years ago The entire memorial was very disappointing . It was more of a production than a time of mourning. I felt the most sorry for his daughter who cried on stage and said she would miss her daddy! A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!
