As the Forth of July approaches, I would like to take this time to thank all the Veterans that are on this page for all that they have done!  Without them, we wouldn't have the freedom that we have today.  They risk their lives so that we can be safe.  It is so easy to forget what we are celebrating, and think of this day as a day for a bbq and fireworks, but this year, lets try and remember what we are really celebrating and all that our freedom costs.

I would also like to thank all the nurses that have gone to war and treated the wounded soldiers!  They also deserve a big hand!  The conditions they worked in were not easy and yet they did it.  It takes a special nurse to do that!

So why don't you join in with me to give them all a very special thank you!!!  :)

Thank you for the kind and patriotic  post.  . I served with the U.S. Army; 4th Inf. Div.;2/8th Inf.; Republic of Vietnam 1969-1970. My father and his two brothers served in the U.S. Army during W. W. II.  I have, also, many Revolutionary War ancestors who served the Patriot cause.  The Revolutionary Ancestor whom I used to obtain entry into the National Society Sons of the American Revolution is Captain Robert Paine. He was a physician who lived in North Carolina. He commanded a company of American Patriot infantryman at the Battle of Kings Mountain which was a major Patriot Victory! Happy Fourth of July!

Happy 4th of July to everyone, but especially to all of our vets who served for liberty and freedom.  Theirs was a passionate belief that Freedom is worth fighting for.   Everybody have a wonderful and SAFE 4TH OF JULY!!   If your cooking out, keep the garden hose nearby...............we havent had rain for a couple of weeks so with all the grass dried out, it would be dangerous.   Fireworks.............lol.     In the ER we could always count on guests there who were trying to outdo their neighbors fireworks and somebody got burnt.   We got one guy in because his friend stuck what was explained to me as a cherry bomb in his best friends drawers, LOL.      It seriously looked like a baby bomb was stuck in his drawers.   They had to call in a surgeon to do something because there was debrise up his butt, he was about 4 mm of part of the thing hitting his his large intestine.    Geez, I miss that stuff.

We only have one heart, take care of it!
