The dictionary definition of mission is: …purpose for which a person is destined in life,…as a messenger. Do you know your "mission"? Do you know what you are destined in life for? Being "healthy" doesn't just mean physically. Since we have learned we are bio-psycho-social-spiritual beings, our pursuit for health needs to be more than the food we put in our bodies. Do we like ourselves? Do we like the path we are walking? Does anything need to change? I have done much soul searching the past several months. Many hours have been dedicated to personal development and improvement. By profession I have been a nurse for almost 20 years, and an Oncology Nurse for more than 10 years. That doesn't define who I am or where I want to go. The past several months I have been becoming more healthy. Mentally healthy. I am defining my mission. My purpose is becoming more clear. That brings a peace to my inner being. Do any of you share similar journeys? Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN
