Posted almost 4 years ago Never had a complaint filed against me...luckily! But I've known nurses who have. One had a patient claim that he had verbally abused him. Took it straight to the Nursing Board. There was an investigation (including looking at hospital surveillance) and his license was suspended. He denied it the whole way even though there was proof. So sad.

Posted almost 4 years ago I've never had a complaint.........I had a boss who had to do a deposition, she said she was more scared during the deposition than when her house was hit by a tornado. She said Id rather go outside for the next tornado <we had had a series of tornados back to back........very scary> before going to go through that again. Man, John............your a meanie! Taking that patients water pitcher, lol. Since you put it like that, then maybe Ive had complaints too. I did it for their own good! We only have one heart, take care of it! Angie

Posted almost 4 years ago When you say formal complaint, I'm assuming that you mean nursing board complaint, No never had that happen. I've had a few written complaints, usually just the usual BS like didn't DC someone fast enough (don't you love it when the doc's tell the pt you can go home first thing in the morning, and then DON'T write the order), and stuff like that.
