Hey everyone,

I have been contemplating asking for a raise for about 6 months now and I'm not exactly sure how I should go about it. I've made a very good list of my strengths and experience so I will haev something to present, but I was wondering if anyone has any successful tips to offer. I've been at my current job for just over 4 years now. My last raise was 2 years ago. Thanks in advance!

Make sure you are confident yet humble when you ask.  If you got a raise two years ago, and it has been two years more...I would go in and first of all ask if they are happy with your performance.  They will say Yes. Then, you mention that you got a raise a couple of years ago, and thought it was time to re-evaluate.  Just be honest, they won't fire you or anything.  The worst that can happen is they will say no.  So, go for it.  If you work hard, you should get a raise!
