Hi All, 

My name is Tami and I have been a nurse for 17 years.  I currently am working in a busy ED in southern Florida.  I joined this site to support my daughter Mary as she is going to school to become a nurse. Right now she is in Alabama with my sister who is also in school. This is good for both of them, because they can support each other through this difficult time.  Going through nursing school is at best difficult.  But you always have to think, would you want someone coming at you with a needle not knowing what they are doing? 

There will be good times and crying times and times that you question why you are doing this, the justification comes when you end the day knowing you made a difference.

So keep up the good work and you can handle anything for a short while, because you are becoming a nurse and nurses rock.

Thanks for all of the encouragement. I know I will need it having 2 kids to care for and a husband and household to run.  But, I will not give up on my dream!  I CAN and WILL do this!
