Could anyone give me information and/or advise about the TEAS test?  Is it hard?  I have to take this and pass to even be eligible for the nursing program at my college.  I am scared of the test! lol  Thanks!

And check your local library for study guides as well.  My library has several copies - many of which are checked out so you're not alone.

I had to take the TEAS test too.  The first time I only had two days to study and I fail. Then I was able to reschedule for two weeks later and I passed.  I had to work, then come home and study until about 1:00 in the morning.  Now I am waiting to hear if I  been accepted.

The test is not too bad. Be sure to review basic math and general grammatical rules. The reading section is simple. However, the science  section requires alot more preparation. There are alot of life science questions. The best way to prep is to review from various  study guides offered online and through the public library. Definitely purchase a  study guide from the tester. Cheaper deals are sometimes available on half.com or ebay.com.

Hi! I'm new here.

Would you please give me more information about names of these books for TEAS test on each subject?  Any chemistry questions on this test too?  Thank you for reading my post.  :)

I got the McGraw-Hill Nursing School Entrance Exams. It's handles PAX-RN, NET, TEAS, PSB-RN, and the C-NET-RN. It is in Barnes and Noble for 21.00. I hope that this helps you. TEAS has a book, but that thing is 50.00 and this book has the same thing except for the Earth Science part.  Good luck!

I got both the McGraw-Hill book and the TEAS book - I feel the M-H is an nicer format visually and "easier" to learn from for me.  The TEAS, however has more difficult questions, by my estimation, so I feel using it is going to be very helpful.  I also purchased the online practice exam, since my school will be giving it on the computer.  I'll study for about 4 weeks, then take the practice exam, and then study 2 more weeks focusing on what I missed on the practice exam.

Good luck to everyone on entrance exams!!

I've read the recent post and did not see anyone saying they've passed the TEAS and what they have used for studying.

It would make sense to me to purchase from the tester, but I see postings that suggest  it is written in a more detailed format.  Also, the reccomended MCGraw-Hill book did cover most subjects on the test except life science, so what do you study from for life science?

Thank you ahead for your replying.

I bought the TEAS book and took the test this monday I passed every section except for the science part by 2 points.  I think that the science part is the hardest in the test.  I was a bit frustrated because I studied a lot and also stayed up that night until 2:30 am studying the science part.  I did noticed that about half the other students there were retaking the text and the others were first timers.  I don't know if this helps :)

Right now, I am studying for the TEAS with the ATI study guide & practice exam.

I also checked out the infamous testpreview website (the one which is always on top of your google searches)... I have a feeling the quality of the questions on this site is low and won't help me so much during the actual exam... At least, I noticed this when I compared the site to my official ATI practice questions...

Can anyone confirm this?

In my class, I also heard buzz about a new TEAS Private Coaching Program, see www.TEASpractice.com

I`d love to join it, but not sure if there's still space.

I am so sorry that i am just responding to you after all this time. I am not sure of this forum is sending alerts to my email. Anyhow, I think that this book gave me a good review of the TEAS. Many say that the test is hard, but for me it was pretty easy. I hope that you do well or you did well if you already took this test.

Blessings,

Jay

P.S. I did pass the TEAS on the first try with the McGraw-Hill book that I bought from Barnes and Noble. I am currently in nursing school and I just finished my first semester! Good luck to you all. Let me know if I can help any of you out.

Congratulations on passing the exam and thank you for the information.  I too am scared of taking the TEAS exam but am  hopeful w/ the right preparation - I will get a good grade.  For the KSU's Nursing program these scores compete for acceptance into their Nursing program.

Congratulations again!
