Minorities We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat. * They risk their lives crossing a border. * They don't get paid enough wages. * They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do. * They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language. * They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day ~ every day. I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans ~ I'm talking about our troops! Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops, and are even threatening to defund them? |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Loved the post gaby133, my boyfriend served in Iraq as a marine and a close friend in the army is going to be deployed for a third time to Iraq in the fall and it is disturbing to think that after they sacrifice so much for this country that the government can treat them like less than average citizens. |

------ agreed but please be more considerate when saying "mexican", that was very stereotypical to say that and I found it offesive. Mexicans are not the only illegals. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago My future husband is a two time "Operation Iraqi Freedom" veteran, and I support him and all those who serve in the military with my whole heart. An honest, brave days/lifes work for definately not enough pay or recognition. Hmmm....sounds like a particular career we all have!! |

Sorry!.....Was no intention to offend anybody. It was meant to be more an eulogy to our troops than an insult to illegal immigrants. I was, once, an illegal immigrant for a short period of time and I would never try to insult immigrants from Mexico or anywhere else. I know how hard it is to become legal and then to succeed in another country. I appologize again if I offended anybody. |
