I got into Nursing School!!!

Posted almost 4 years ago I got into Nursing School!! I'm so excited. DH and I just got settled in Virginia (military transfer) and I heard back from the school, Its a practical nursing program, 11months long. YaY!!! Its actually happening!!
I want to thank all of you that helped me figure things out.. I appreciate it so much. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Congrats on your admission! Hope you've told your hubby that he will see very little of you for the next 11 months. A practical nursing program is no less intense or diffiuclt than an RN program (voice of experience here, I was an LPN first). I tell all my students to set aside time for fun, including family time. All work and no play means a burnt out student who flunks her exams. Happy students are refreshed and able to pick up the books with a frame of mind that enhances study. |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Thank you for the warm wishes... Hubby knows it'll be pretty intense. He's amazing with supporting me, and told me not to work during the program so I can be home with him and our son more. I'm so excited.. this wait is killing me! haha The program was originally going to start August 31st, but for some reason when I got the acceptance call they said instead of starting twice a year they will only be starting once a year and it pushed my start date to Jan. 4th. Still can't quite figure that one out, they had over 90 people apply for the program and only accepted 25, I'd think theyd want to start twice a year. Oh wells, I still GOT IN!! HEHE |

| Posted almost 4 years ago I must say congrats too!!!! I just became a member on here. I too, have a hubby in the military. We live in Va too. I was accepted into a dploma program due to start Aug 24th. I'm so extremely nervous. This is my second time. The first time, my husband had recieved orders to Germany so I decided to go with him. Now we are back and I am wanting to get on with my career. Keep me posted on your studies and I will do the same. Maybe we can be online study buddies??? Talk to you later. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Congrats. Sounds like the Riverside program in Newport News VA. If so I would have been in your class but when they delayed it I applied for the RN program since I only needed 2 more classes. Happy to say I got in. The TEAS test was a beast though. Anyways that scenario sounded familiar, Congrats. |
