I don't have the money for an attorney. Do you think it's possible to get threw this and get my record explunged without the help of an attorney?

I would go the the court that your charge was filed in and ask them...  If you haven't been or will not be going to court, go to the Records dept of the police dept you were charged by...

sometimes attorneys give free consults...  that would at least get you heading in the right direction.. or perhaps you can go to your district attorney and ask them for advice...

also... research it on the net.. for your state...

good luck!!

I have my PCT and my CNA also had my clearance card. Just recently got put on probation for signing my name to a pawn slip. I have never had any criminal record. My fiance had lost his ID an asked me to pawn it for him stupid me I did it not thinking anything of it. Went back to the pawn shop and even bought it back. Then had the police at my door. They searched my home and apparently he was up to no good because they also found some drugs. He was arrested I was not but was later charged. When I was a officaly chared they pulled my clearence card and in doing so I lost my job. I have been working in the medical field for over 5 years. I now have 2 felonies and am on probation for 5 years. Had just graduated in November and was going back to school for my LPN. My conviction was based on the fact that I should have known. So I don't know what to do. Things aren't always as they seem. How do I explain that to a future employer?

Hello

I was going for LPN already enrolled and actually going to classes but I had to stop until I get a waiver for my clinicals. You see, I had a criminal record which was back in 2009 and I already have applied for a waiver request. But it's taking forever for the department of public health in my state to at least check my request. Well, I understand, I might not be the only one requesting for it. But I've been waiting for three months already and the batch I was supposedly to be in is already graduating by the end of the month. I don't know if I'm posting in the right section too, but I really need an advice because I'm so lost and I don't know what to do. My education is being held back and I feel like my life is ruined. Because of my past actions. I don't know if I can still hope or I have to change my career path. Which I don't really want to be an option, because I want to continue on what I wanted to do but really, I can't do anything because of my record. I really am lost. In life too.
