Posted almost 4 years ago What does everybody think about the hown hall meetings that are being labelled MOBS by Speaker of the house and other Democrat leaders? Are they unruly mobs or are they just practicing right of free speech? We only have one heart, take care of it! Angie |

You have watched Teabaggers, birthers etc shouting down elected representatives trying to answer questions for our representative government town hall meeting. That is democracy-- when the congress comes back to their constituents and answers questions and provides information. I got it people have questions and concerns. Let them answer. Complete Corporate run healthcare is funding the disinformation channeled through malkin, limbaugh , oReilly , and the latest wack job Beck to make you become irrationally against measures that will improve our country. The weight loss business alone is 60 Billion a year in this country, they don't want you to get good preventative care, the insurance industry is 100's of billions more. I We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Justice--is it justice to refuse all our citizens basic health care? Is that equality? Is that free of discrimination? If so then you accept a class system as they had in 1776 England and the founder's despised that construct. Should we open poor houses and sick houses as they had then for people unable to care for themselves? domestic tranquility--seems health could also be defined as a healthy community free from public health scourges, epidemics, etc Original meaning was to quell rebellion between the states. Seem if we make sure everyone has basic health care this keeps the union more whole particular in times of outbreaks etc. common defense--I'm schooled in the detection and care of patients post biological, chemical and radiological weapons, one or all of these will be deployed it is just a matter of time.. Universal health care can provide for fast ID of Sentinal events and have provide for a strong response with hospitals and personnel trained and ready to go in time of National response,, Hurricanes, tornadoes etc Flu epidemics// Don't tell me they are trained now on the civilian side or we can review tapes of Katrina etc. General Welfare--seems health is definition of welfare== 1: the state of doing well especially in respect to good fortune, happiness, well-being, or prosperity welfare n. 1. health, happiness, or prosperity; well-being. Our posterity right now--one-third of children 10-17 are clinically obese..Healthcare for all would help us focus more on this problem and fix it. We cannot remain Free and a Great Power if we are slow and slothful and sickly and lazy. Healthcare for all is a form of freedom to minimize diseases for all of us so we can get about the work of innovation, education, and by damn make our founder's and our ancestors proud of us.
