Hi Grant,

I am interested in Nursing Informatics and am considering Excelsor College for their Certificate program/Masters program. Do you have any input on this, what is the job market like and is it saturated? And anything that might be of help.

Thank You,
TamiRN

I would like to get more info on this. I saw one article in a journal sometime ago and then nothing more. Not sure how lucrative this would be.

I am very enthusiastic about this kind of field of nursing too because I love computers. What is it about actually, where do they focus more, is it regarding electronic charting, database entry.

Is this something an LPN can do, or does one have to be an RN?
I've had some computer training like A+ Hardware, A+ Software, Information Systems, as well as CISCO.

I would love more information about this field!

I'm in an informatics course as part of my BSN requirement, and we had to research recruitment ads. Most positions require a BSN, some a Master's, and most wanted experience in computer applications, employee training, customer service & education. Hope this helps.

I just bought a textbook on the subject. I have not had time to open it yet.  I am way behind on my reading

So many books, so little time is my experience, too.
