Posted over 2 years ago I have been applying for Student Nurse/Student Nurse extern jobs in the Indianapolis, IN area. A question I frequently run into is what my preferred pay would be. Not wanting to seem greedy or to ask for too little, I am asking you. If you are a student nurse, particularly in my area of the country, please reply with your starting hourly wage and the particular hospital you are working at. If you feel this is private, could you please give me an idea of an average number that would be appropriate to ask for? If you are not a student nurse but have an answer to my question, please feel free to reply also! PS, I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving! |

Posted about 1 year ago Student Nurse.... Pay? ahhh minimum wage at best. That's why I guess that most SN work part time outside their profession until they become credentialed.

Posted about 1 year ago In the Metropolitan Detroit area, it's over $15 per hr. for a nurse tech who's passed their Med/Surg I courses. Some patient care assistants get $17 per hr. Starting pay for a grad nurse pre-certification is $24 per hr.

Posted 8 months ago A friend of mine just got hired at Clarian in Indy and is starting at $12. She's eligible for shift differential and can get a raise after passing a meds course this summer.

Posted 8 months ago In a state where the cost of living is higher you are going to make more money. You have to take all factors into consideration when asking someone their starting pay.
