I will never met any celebrities, but the mayor knows my name.
A traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor.
I switch from "heat" to "A/C" on the same day.
I end my sentences with a preposition: "Where's my coat at?"
When asked how my trip was to any exotic place, I answer, "It was different.!"
Road construction never ends.
When someone asks me how far something is, I tell them how long it will take to get there rather than how many miles away it is!
I think eye contact is an act of agression.
Seasons are: winter, still winter, hot as hell, and construction.
My neighbor asks me if I can pick up Granola on my way home and I stop at the day care center.

this kinda sounds like where I live or how it use to be. I liked it better then. Now it has built up so fast, is so congested and the traffic is horrible! But one thing stays the same-CONSTRUCTION!

*roflmao*

You forgot giving directions by landmarks, not by roads (not streets, ROADS).

Angie, we are rednekish... We got traffic signs, subdivisions, for the most part, we don't grow corn within the city limits. Crzegrl, I forgot about that one, "roads" You take that road there and make a left at the 7-11.

Hey Al, I know EXACTLY what you're saying. I lived in the U.P. (my oldest was born at the old, now torn down, Dickinson Co. Memorial in Kingsford) and lower MI (Fenton...between Flint and Detroit). Graduated from Bay de Noc.

If you don't own flannel, you're not "in", and you almost have to drink...shovel snow, shovel snow, shovel snow!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!

Ya'll forgot one... that half of the change in your pocket is Canadian. I now live in south central Colorado. I tried (without thinking) to give a cashier at a local gas station a canadian nickle.... She wouldn't even touch it lol she just stared at it like it was tainted or something . Funny stuff.

Ohhh... forgot about the Canadian money, eh. LOL Canada to Michiganders is like another state, we do have a Canadian Governor. Yea, maybe we should build a wall up there (Upper Peninsula for those not of Michigan), keep them canoocks(sp?) out. So, if a Canadian goes to one of our boarder town bars without a passport visa, would he be considered an illegal alien? That is all so funny!

Ahhh... Sorry, I don't hunt. But down here it’s the cammo clothes, go to church and there is always someone with a cammo jacket, shirt, pants or boots, sometimes they wear the whole garb.

Well even the girls wear camo to Church in South GA, some churches anyway and teenage girls. We give directions by you know where that barn used be about 7 miles out, it aint there no more it burnt up, but you know, turn left about 150 yards after where it used to be and My place is the first empty field after the pond dam.

We started today at 45, quite mild, but this afternoon it was 72 so on came air conditioning. The Christmas parade is tomorrow, dont know whether to wear shorts or jeans and pack a blanket. Hmmm. Maybe both.

Oh that's crazy talk..It's about 20 degrees here and can I say FREEZING . I live in Indiana currently but was born and raised in Flint, Michigan until about 5 years ago. I don't think it's very redneck but I know many girls I went to school with i'm suprised haven't been on Jerry Springer or Maury Povich. You do know you live in Michigan when every street has a store owned by someone from the middle east.

Ane, that is so true, some communities act like they are stars of a Jerry Springer episode. The east side of the state has stores owned by Middle Eastern people; on the west side, the corner stores are operated by Middle Eastern but owned by very frugal bean counters.

Well in Milwaukee, there's a bar on just about every corner that isn't residential. Freezing here today and we are expecting 3-6 inches of white, wet, sloppy stuff. It's already white outside.

My sister is in Fond Du Lac, WI my parents are from Wisconsin and last time I was in Fondy there were bars on just about every corner and some in the residential areas. My sister loves the snow and cold, but I can't live with it. My dad spends summers by her and winters by me. Says he shoveled all the snow he ever cares to.
