| Posted over 3 years ago You can bet your last dollar, and many of us may have, that these hospital corporations are headed by people who certainly have a retirement ahead of them. |

| Posted over 3 years ago I was never a good money manager, but since becoming a civil service RN in 2003 I have a great savings program. Problem is, I also have Stage IV ovarian cancer and have eaten up all my sick leave & annual leave. Even with BCBS-Federal, I have a large balance to pay off at the ongology office. I looked into medical/disability retirement but it's completely unaffordable for me, so I must keep working as much as I can to keep my life and lifestyle intact. And I don't have an extravagant lifestyle by any means at all. I provide a home and food for my adult brother, as well. I will never be able to retire, I guess I'll just have to drop dead one day at work! |
