Sounds like God is also allowing us to protest both here online, and with the tea party protests, something that You'll have to accept.  God is also allowing us to rise up as a nation, against socialism.

On the anniversary of 9/11, can you please quit acting like the wars we are fighting are useless. Out of respect for the close to 3000 people who perished 8 years ago, please quit acting as if fighting for freedom is some useless cause. It is that very freedom that allows you to have the opinions you do with no consequences. Have you forgotten that day? I won't ever forget it.

As far as I'm concerned we were attacked unprovoked and had the right to go to war with any threat posed to our security. Saddam was playing poker with us on sanctions, and made a bluff he paid for with his life. Kinda stupid to paly games after we had been attacked for no reason.

Oh, and the Dems did make a stink about Bush. It's just the liberal media chose not to focus on it. Keep drinking the kool-aid. Swallow it down..like a jagged little pill.

I had family in the pentagon that day, we lost friends in NY.  I'm the first one to tell you going to war with Saddam was for nothing more than oil and the neocons philosophy.  Big business won in the military industrial complex, the rich got tax cuts and lots of business, this is the first war ever where a leader didn't raise taxes to pay for it hence the growing insane deficit.  We agreed to fighting to get Osama BIn laden and the sob's who bombed us.  We had them at Tora Bora and we didn't strike now Pakistan is unstable and they really have nukes.  All CHENEY AND BUSH, all their fault, all their lies, no matter what spin you put on it the facts remain. 

Time to leave Iraq and Afghanistan. Done, there is no winning, find a definition of winning in Afghanistan, and let me know.

Quit imagining you know what your imaginary friend thinks about America.  My God is ashamed of the way we treat the least of us and the way we are treating each other about phoney claims of Socialism and threats to our freedom.  The nastiest meanest posters at those rallies are made by the teabaggers wrapping themselves in the flag and Jesus.  Just because Christians live in a country doesn't make it a Christian country, boy are we an example of that thought.

A bit off the topic but it is sad and funny all at the same time to hear or read as grown-up, educated 40 plus year old people in the medical field refer to the president as Nobama. Seriously even when I write GW it's because I don't want to go through the trouble of writing out George W. Bush. I've heard many presidential policies called different names. I've heard many presidents called idiots but I'd have to say this is the first time in my life I've ever heard people say the word hate or dislike when talking about  the president . Someone they don't know and I'm sure have never met. This is why when I hear people say "it has nothing to do with race" I figure it's possible but I ask myself which president has ever faced the same criticism, called such ridiculous names and called liar  on TV by a another politician. I'm sure there is none, not after only 9 months in office. Many of these names  began before the guy was even in office. The president is being called names and disrespected when all he wants is healthcare for everyone. The idea no matter how impossible is still something that we should have. We are a capitalistic society and while putting a pricetag manages to bring about the best in a product, healthcare shouldn't  be about how much money I make. I believe one of the rights I have as an American is the right to life and this involves living. Our last president sank trillions of dollars into a war which to date has produced no returns financially. What it did produce was a depleted military, many of our men with lives that are forever changed by  a war we had no business geting into or staying in once we had stepped in it. The death toll is nothing short of saddening . We have a president that  wanted to stop that and bring our men home. We have one president on one side whose presidency was marked by spending huge amounts of money in the name of war and we have a president who wants healthcare for all. Racism is alive even on this site, the law of averages say that it has to be. It seems common sense is alive too but it is in contrast to racism. I'm all about a thrilling debate but what drives an argument is your passion and  your capacity for logic. What brings down an argument is using names a high schooler should be using and spreading fear by comparing the president to hitler. It's not as insulting as it is funny because when I see it I'm reminded that a college degree doesn't come with common sense and it definitely doesn't give you an antibody for ignorance. Many of you claim not to be racists but I ask you how can you hate or dislike someone you've never met? If you like healthcare the way it is then please convince me how giving money to tomorrow's CEOs and Fortune 500 members works for us. I'm as capatilistic as the next guy but I'd rather my money help somebody than make somebody else filthy rich! Oh one last thing : While I'm not sure who would like to bring the rest of America up out of gutter I know who I've never seen in our ghettos making a change I see old black men ( some of us do live to be old) . I see old black and white women ( they're mothers after all and some see past race) I see young black and white  men ( the Klan and the gangs didn't recruit everyone) what tends to be missing IS the old rich white man and that is a shame since they probably possess a fair amount of our country's wealth. Just an observation (peppered with humor of course)  . The Obama bashing is tired mostly because people are attacking the man and not his policies. The spirit of debate is strongest when FACTS are presented not just opinions. Please remember that people.

The list goes on and on, so no Obama is not being singled out, by being called Nobama.

OK once again the few nicknames that a few presidents have been called doesn't approach the level of treatment that Obama has gotten. Next time try reading the whole post and not just a few key words. Thanks for the list of names though . It was not much of a rebuttal but it was quite entertaining for the five seconds it took to read it.

Glad I made you chuckle.  I voted for Gore in 2000.  I'm not denying racism exists, but simply pointing out that other presidents have been rolled through the mud too.  Anyone who DENIES THAT ALL presidents get picked on, and chalks this ALL (the whole entire thing) to racism, has NOT followed politics.  Because, it's been going on for years and years.  Geez Bill Clinton was put on trial for having oral sex with an intern.  I think that was a big waste of taxpayer money.  Who cares?  The only one that should have cared was Hillary.  It was none of anyone's business, yet it was debated on the Senate, and Congressional floors. 

Obviously, you have experienced something deeply personal, that has made you view things a lot differently than I do.  But not everyone is racist. 

Wrong again , nothing deeply personal. Maybe politics is your thing because figuring people out based on posts clearly isn't something you're any good at. Can you be anymore condescending to think I must have gone through something deeply personal in order to have an opinion different from you? i had never thought of it till now that i read blkmalern's discourse but its absolutely and most digustingly true that there are NO old rich white men doing anything with their money especially when  it comes to cleanin up the ghetto! Now that is sad but ask yourself why? well hell i don't know i'm guessin it has to do with them being rich and so they just don't give it to the ghetto they give it to people who are going to triple their$$$ . Well i sure hope some taxes fix that! If i were the President i would ask those old men ONE more time for a little volunteerism and if it goes on deaf ears well then i say TAX the hell out of em!!! hey i understand that the women are a little bit better at giving than the   male old rich whities but some of them could do A LOT better .
