Posted almost 4 years ago I am using my passion for wellness to teach low glycemic lifestyle classes. I promote healthy living, and I have a model I am working from to be able to do this. I am going to be starting my own webinar of 12 weekly classes. I work with a few other nurses and moms on this project. I do use a company for some of the low glycemic shakes and bars, but food, and mild to moderate exercise, combined with cellular level nutritional supplements are the three legs of this clinically proven program. I am finding that I am becoming VERY fulfilled as my classes grow, and grow, and grow. I anticipate waiting lists soon for these classes. I think the webinar is going to be successful as well. I love my role as a wellness coach.. Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN

| Posted over 3 years ago Hi Susan, I didn't find an email at my email address from you, so I'm not sure why it didn't go through. I am still working on the webinar low glycemic class presentation. I am wanting to start with that sometime after the first of the year. I continue to have my "live" classes. They are gearing down for this year, and I am starting to gear toward advertising for classes starting in January locally. Yes, it is possible to work on the net and do this. I also am going to be going to businesses and market wellness education for their employees. I have two companies that I use. One, I market product from, and I use resources related to that company with my low glycemic teaching. Then I am connected with another, that does not have product, but they are helping me with resources to get myself into businesses as an RN health coach. So, I have combined the best of both, and I am slowly building a business. It is my goal one day, to replace what I make, and do this full time. I am envisioning having to contract nurses locally to help me as I aquire businesses and corporations to teach. I am also looking into the possibility of being contracted by insurance companies to help their overweight and problem disease management patients locally. The webinar work like I said is still a work in progress. I am looking forward with anticipation in 2010 for that to be a really big growth area for me. I work with a group of business women and nurses that are motivated like me for a home business. Actually, 5 of us on a team have worked so well together, we just won an all expense paid contest in our company to go to a Phoenix resort in February to help us learn even more skills in being successful in our own business. I am looking for motivated nurses and business leaders to help with the business projects we are working on. I would be happy to share more with you about what all I do if you are interested. Also, you might want to check out a website that doesn't go into the low glycemic teaching, but is a general website ad for nurses and it has a questionaire on it that you may want to answer to see if some of what you are looking for aligns with some of our business philosophy. That address is www.newrn.com. Thanks. I would love to talk with you more if you are interested. Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN herbalnurse919@msn.com Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN

| Posted over 3 years ago I taught my first Webinar last night. It was called Healthy Holiday Eating. I was excited about the response. I have found my niche in teaching wellness. Now, to market myself in the best manner, to replace that RN salary. I know it is coming. When you do your passion, your passion makes a way for you... Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN

| Posted almost 3 years ago I wish you well on your endeavors as well! I think as nurses, we have so much more to offer, and the field is wide open. I am working very hard to get my websites up and launched. I have ebooks, webinars, and corporate trainings I am working on in the wellness, goal setting, healthy eating, cooking and shopping, as well as programs about integrative nursing. It is allot of work to get the ground work laid. I am projecting a start launch of January 2011 for all my programs.. I have finished Wellcoaches training, and am now doing the Wellness Inventory training. What is the focus of your wellness coaching? Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN
