My five year old, is probably the only kid in the country that likes brocolli.  One night after working 11-7, I was laying on the couch, when he stumbled out of his room, with his hands in his pants.   He said 'Mom, I want brocolli for breakfast'.  I said "I'm not making you brocolli for breakfast, and please get your hand out of your pants and stop playing with your penis".  He looked at me "I'll stop playing with my penis, when you get up and make me brocolli for breakfast."

My co-workers call him brocolli boy.

LMAO! 5 yrs. old and already learning to bargain with Mommy!! BTW, I was a veggieholic as a kid. My Mom thought I had a screw loose when I would eat a bowl of peas before ice cream.

My mom's co-worker calls her grandson "penis fingers".  He's the same age as your son.  I would prefer "broccoli boy" any day of the week!

When my oldest was barely talking (maybe 12-15 months) we took him to Panda Express and I got broccoli and beef.  Ever since, he used to ask for trees.  He wanted trees for dinner.  :)

We also lived in an apt with limited cabinet space in the kitchen so we kept non-breakable foods in the lower cabinets.  My oldest brought his dad a can of peas and asked if he could have them.  Hubby was making dinner and told him "no, you'll spoil your dinner".

WHAT?!

I told him, he's asking for PEAS!  If the kid asks for candy you make him wait.  If he asks for vegetables, give them to him.  LOL

That kid STILL loves peas (and trees).

Hey, no complaints about the brocolli.  That is a great habbit to have.  As for the penis issue, it is not an issue; we got to have it in the right position otherwise it can get uncomfortable.  Those metal zippers on jeans are a sure reach in the pants for a reposition check, ouch.  He has feelings too and its tough living life with one eye that is always getting rubbed on everything.  I love and respect women, but they never seem to understand that, really.  My grandpa used to tell me "don't pay any mind to those girls that fret at you readjusting your stuff, they broke theirs off anyways."  What a forum: brocolli and penis.  Anyways, have a great weekend even if you do have to work it.

Cheers - Tim, R.N.

My son who is now 6 will take fruits and vegetables over junk food, as for the penis, he found it at 10 months and hasn't let go of it since.  Its just a guy thing.  I have to agree with Tim, except about the adjustment, y'all just need something to play with.  I didn't mean to be gross.

LOL...too funny. My son wont touch brocolli now, I think I scarred him for life. When he was about 4 I made him brocolli and cheese, he refused to eat it. This was the ONE time I put my foot down and made him sit there until he ate some of it. He sat there for about 30min crying. I felt so bad, I finally let him go without eating it. To this day he wont touch it. I realized that trick doesnt work so well.
