Sorry. LPN's may be hard workers and wonderful people, but:

My license says "Registered Professional Nurse." LPN licenses say Licensed Practical Nurse." (in my state). LPN's attend vocational (trade) school. RN's attend accredited colleges.

It is not SEVO that told someone to leave the Army, it was RNprogressive. Whether he was in the military or not, it takes a total jerk to tell a serviceman to get out just because he has an opinion that doesn't match yours. If you can't stand the fact that  people have differing opinions, you have a problem.

DEVO, why aren't you out there making the big bucks, or spending it, instead of chattering here online?

Thanks for your concern about my lifestyle....I work a THREE day work week leaving me ample time to post on here... at the moment I am in the garage installing Lotus Elise seats in my wifes Monster Miata... since it is boring and I have WLAN in my garage... I cant take a break and check on my fan base..

As for making big bucks... My wife is also a CRNA... sooo IF i need more money.. I make her work some overtime...

Seems this thread is turning into my own defacto Twitter.... cool.

That is all right, everone has a little hot air to blo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w every once in a while.  Although, he, she, or it (RNprogressive), whatever their gender, had it wrong with the Army part as I'm in the Air Force (multiple OEF/OIF), but I was in the Army (tenth Mt. Division/Desert Storm) this last century.  So I would have to get out of the Air Force rather, which is not going to happen any time soon.  So let him blo-o-o-o-w out the opinions as it is show quality out my way and they have the right as I do too.

High hopes & God speed - Tim, R.N.

wlan in the garage?  Like it's a big deal.  Most people, including me now have wlan.  Why are you not having the seats professionally installed?  Or do you like to get a feel for what it's like to be one of the little people?

Thank you again for showing interest in my life...

I work on my own cars, I have raced cars i maintained, I build engines for other people as a hobby, I program stand alone ECU FI systems for giggles..I have restored rare British cars in the past...And to be honest.. I probably do a better job at mechanical repairs and modifications than someone who will not be driving the car...I stuffed a Ford V8 into this particular Miata for my wife to enjoy.

Besides, I doubt anyone in this city has ever installed Lotus Elise seats in a Miata..And before you ask .. I have the seats as i have replaced the seats in my Elise with some lightweight carbon fiber seats...

Again.. thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to inquire about my lifestyle...Visit my website and look at the T shirts and Coffee mugs I sell.. they will serve to remind you of me during those times you cannot get on the net to find out what I am doing at any given moment..

Shouldn't you be in another forum beating up on CNAs?? You really are not going to win this one...

Why would I want to beat up CNA's they work hard for a living.  I'd rather take a poke at a fat rich guy.

Nope.. I was a nurse manager of a huge ICU and she saw how much i detested my job. I found managing females in large groups is like herding cats on extacy...... Many of the women working for me are actually on this forum if some posts are any indication...... she was a CRNA a long time before I did it... She talked me into this... and in return i agreed to marry her........ the rest.. as they say .. is history.

Well obviously you missed it, because your here on this forum.  And you respond to every post, that even remotely refers to you, just like a nurse manager.  So much for enjoying sitting on your patoot and your 'autonomy'.  I heard from another CRNA, that said the OR is filled with bloated egos, sounds like she was right.

She was right. In fact the same can be said for ER, ICU, OB, NICU and so on.

It's been my observation that anytime women work in a specialty they think they are special. Not every case. But certainly in most. Except for OB I have worked all the above including OR.

In ER I got more than my share of OB nurses who were far too busy to come relieve of us of an imminent birth but very critical after we delivered and they came down to retrieve the baby (they didn't trust us to transport usually - after all it is a specialty).

This CRNA hated it.  She worked mostly with cardiac surgeons.  She said there was always arguing and bickering, their word was God, and you better do it, and not question it.  Eventually, she switched specialities (did OB for a while), switched hospitals, and went to a same day surgery unit.  She said that surgeons felt you were just nurse, and that you had better jump when they said jump, or there would be an argument, and they would call the anaesthesiologist in.

Thank you again for showing an interest in my life.. It is fans like you who make my work on this forum worthwhile. There is a place for everyone in my Fan Club..And if i did NOT respond to every post that refered to me.. pleople such as yourself who depend on ME and my posts to cast a ray of sunshine n their othewise dreary day would not have something to look for when they come to this forum.

I am sorry there are not posts and forums dedicated to you.. but being the nice guy I am, if you would ve so kind as to post your name I will rectify that situation immediately..... Again, thank you ever so much for checking on my posts.... you make my Fan Club possible..

Sounds like that CRNA would be unhappy wherever she worked.

So if the job is sooo rosy, how come so many CRNA's abuse drugs?  Don't say easy access, because there are plenty of nursing fields where there is access to drugs.  I've given lots of dilaudid, versed, morphine etc.  We hang bags and bags of dilaudid for PCA's would be easy pickens.    So why the high rate of drug abuse?
