NursingLink is looking for Moderators!
Do you love the NursingLink forums? Do you enjoy reading all the posts? Are you tough, but fair? Then we’re looking for you!
Here’s what a Mod does:
Moderators should be knowledgeable in the nursing profession. They should be polite and helpful towards other members and give advice whenever needed and whenever possible. Moderators should visit the forum each day; actively take part in discussions as often as possible, ideally once a day, setting a good example to the other members. They should also take an active part in discussions between Moderators relating to the running of the forum. NursingLink Forum Moderators have a responsibility to keep unsuitable content out of the forums as much as possible. Moderators should frequently encourage member participation in their forum, both by posting in existing threads and starting new ones.
Moderator Requirements:
- at least 3 stars
- at least 300-500 forum posts
Mod Responsibilities:
-Delete inappropriate posts including:
-Inflammatory or outright rude forum posts
-Spam or porn
- Guide new users to the appropriate groups or forum topics (i.e. “how do I become a nurse?” should not be posted all – direct that user to the 5 Step Guide)
-Keep everyone respectful
-Must maintain a working knowledge of the nursing field.
How to Apply:
Send an email with how you would respond to the following scenarios to info@nursinglink.com. Thanks for applying!
Scenario 1: A new presence approaches several top users via PM, who in turn all come to you complaining about the spam. What actions would you take?
Scenario 2: A very active user (within the top 10 of the leaderboard) starts getting very personal in arguments on the boards, posting borderline inflammatory statements. What is your response?
Scenario 3: A user has a differing opinion from you about a political, religious or service-related (“CNRA’s suck”, etc) controversial issue. How do you respond in the forum?
