Did Sevo left or was his account intentionally removed by NL?! What happened to him?! Just curious, although his comments are a lot of times sarcastic, he still is a good contributor of NL...please enlighten us as to what happened on his account?!

Sevo left.  He was told by the editor that his name calling was getting out of hand and to tone it down, and he reacted by closing his account.

It was getting out of hand. It was getting that you could not have a spirited argument without his caustic remarks. Although it doesn't sound like Servo to just up and quit because because someone told him to tone it down. It is sort of like the kid who said says"It is my ball and I am taking it and going home".

Darn I missed all the excitement! I haven't been on here in days because I have been so busy and I missed all the hulabaloo...

I didn't Sevo had an evil twin. I bet that Sevo is still here lurking in the shadows and reading all of this...

Sevo wasn't a bad guy - I have friends like him - They like to "shock" people with sarcasm and acerbic remarks. But it offended some here.

I wish he had just toned it dowm a bit and stuck around. Smart? Sure he is, but I am too, but I never want to post anything that hurts anyone's feelings. Some folks are sensitive.

In fact I rarely post at all anymore - things have just gotten too contentious....

How true! In fact my best humor is of the sarcastic type - it's fun! But I only use it with my in-person friends... usually GUYS!

This site is primarily women, and some of my friends here are offended  by SEVO-type humor... so that's why I'm reluctant to use it. Meanwhile, while I comfort my thin-skinned friends, SEVO has bailed out. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Bye-bye SEVO!

       Sevo was cool in my book.  I didn't agree with everything he rattled off, but he added spice to things, and he was quite smart.  Maybe some time he will return to rattle some more cages.

Wow I haven't been on the site in quite a while but I guess alot has happened.  As for Sevo I really can't say that I will miss him.  He had that whole "shock thing" going for him..  He may not have believed what he wrote but .... he did it just to get a reaction.  Some what like little kids.  He just wanted to be noticed and it didn't matter if it was bad or good.  Just notice me.  So if he left on his own or was encouraged then so what.. I just hope that the site can get back to what it was intended for ... to inform- education and discuss issues of the day.  That is partially why I just quit checking in.

 

Perhaps what you've said is a small part of what Sev was about although there was a whole lot more to him from the posts I read.  Besides we have gotten along without you for a long time.  Your replaceable ya know the Sev was special.

Sevo never whined about any name anybody called him. He might blast back. Not so with some crybabies on here. Some of the worst are those who dish it out and then whine when they get it back in their face. So in fairness to everybody, but especially to the snivelers, those who dish it back get called on it. Like this post will be deleted fairly quickly. Watch. And yes I know what I just said about fairness to everybody being more fair to some.

Nursinglink is a place to learn about, and talk about nursing with like-minded people.  To learn from eachother and talk about our days at work, and to in general just know that we have a place to come and vent where people will actually know what we're talking about, because they have been there.

Nursinglink should be a place where everyone feels welcome, and SEVO was 100% not that kind of guy.  He's the kind of guy who would pick out everything you said that he thought was wrong, and not in a constructive way.  He scared people away!

Case in point- myself.  This is one of the first times I've posted (though I've been a lurker for a while now) but I wouldn't pitch in because I knew SEVO or someone else (and he's not the only one, that's for sure) would be a jerk to me for no reason and I just don't want to deal with that in a place where I'm supposedly coming to relax and blow off some steam.

And your replaceable as well.  There will always be Sevo's and there will always be nurses like you.  I have no problem dealing with either of you, although sevo added spice to the site and you sir, are self admited to being more of a galker rather than adding to the forums on the site.  Sevo added food for thought, spoke his mind, and perhaps stood for something.  You like many, many, many Americans (I'm an American of a somewhat different flavor) seem to be quite passive till after the fires are gone;  everything is perfect in retrospect right.  Sero vented in his way with saying his due on the forums and you have vented your way, bitching at a screen of written text but not responding until he, Sevo, left the site.  In my youth this was known as the cowards path, or more strait up, having no balls.  So save your little words, your little mind, and your little tunnel vision laden opinion to bad mouth the next screen full of words that you don't approve of for once again we are all replaceable you and me, but the world is a better place more without one more than the other.  Good evening
