Posted about 1 month ago The chinese have an explanation for this: The great finger represents your parents, the index is your brothers and sister, the middle is your own person, the 4th( wedding ring finger) represents your life's partner and the little finger is your children. Now, fold the middle finger on both of your hands and put your hands "face to face" matching the fingers from one hand with the other from the other hand( great finger to great finger and so on), then try to pull your finger appart by rotation but keeping the hands together. The great fingers: You will be able to separate them because your parents are meant to raise you and then you get your own life and leave them. The index fingers: You can separate because you will be having your own life and your brothers and sisters their own. The little fingers: You will be able to separate them because your kids will grow up and get their own lives. The "wedding ring" fingers: You WILL NOT be able to separate them because that's your life's partener finger and a husband and wife destiny is to remain together for their entire life. |

| Posted 25 days ago It is hard to separate the ring fingers because husband and wife are supposed to stick together but Divorce was invented to separate couple whose children will suffer the most. This is only me...children will get over it, isn't it? Sad |

| Posted 3 days ago I was told that this tradition goes back to the days of Rome, where it was believed that the fourth finger of the left hand was a vein that went straight to the heart, and that was symbolic of the heart, of love.... |
