Posted over 3 years ago Why are you deleting posts and entire forums? I saw no rules being broken. What happened to freedom of speech. We are getting enough taken from us to not be able to speak our minds on the internet. Is this a power trip? Or did Obama hire you. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Get a grip on this Obama thing. Name ONE thing this administration has done to equate him being a dictator versus GWB and his administration's collective thumbing of their noses at the Constitution you swear you cherish. And the editors are leaving you nuts alone to post this BS so quit your carping. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Seriously, what is your problem? If you don't like the way things are handled on this site, there are plenty of other sites to go complain endlessly on. The editors are doing you a favor by even letting you post this nonsense. "What happened to freedom of speech? We are getting so much taken from us" Have you forgotten that this FREEEEEE site GIVES you a place to vomit up your words? It's not even a rational argument. I hope this thread DOES get deleted! |

| Posted over 3 years ago Hi everyone- Editor here. This thread is now locked. If you're looking for an explanation of why threads are locked or deleted, you might recall agreeing to our Terms of Service when you signed up for the site. Those terms explicitly state that the editor is free to use their judgment to keep the threads centered on relevant topics. You might find this FAQ useful in the future:
Why did my post get edited?
Odds are you were personally attacking someone or using hurtful language (though you might just have been quoting that language). It’s also possible that you cut-and-pasted the same post in a bunch of threads and we’re cleaning the forum up.
I disagree with your moderation! How should I tell you?
Please talk to me if you have a problem with moderation, just do it in a personal message and not in a thread. Arguments about moderation are boring for other people to read.
So how am I supposed to disagree with someone without personally attacking them?
I’m glad you asked! We welcome disagreement and argument here on NL, but we frown on personal attacks. Here’s a handy chart about how to disagree with someone on the internet without getting personal:
“I think what you said is wrong and I’ve thought about it and here are several reasons why not.” = Very good!
“I think what you said is wrong.” = Okay
“You’re wrong.” = Enh, okay
“You’re stupid.” = Pretty lame
“ur so stupid and gay and retarded and i hate u!!!!!!11!” = Bad, Might Get Edited
[a bunch of personal attacks and bad language and threats] = Very Bad, A Ticket to Warningtown and possibly Bannedsville
Why did you tell me to stop personally attacking someone? Why didn’t you tell them too? They started it! Why are you playing favorites?
This one you’re going to have to think about for a second. You were told to stop in a personal message, right? Well then, it’s just possible that the other person was told to stop in a personal message, and since you can’t read their messages, you didn’t know about it. Don’t worry, we’re certainly not playing favorites, we just want the name-calling to stop. Somebody’s being mean to me on the forum! What should I do?
Send me a personal message with a link to the thread or threads in question and I’ll take care of it. Remember, though, that the best thing to do is just to ignore the person. They probably just want attention and if you stop giving it to them they’ll go away.
