If you're not sure what this is all about - CA and NV nurses are striking Oct. 30 to protest how hospitals are dealing with H1N1.

Here's a blurb:

Central to the walkout is concern over the failure of the hospital chains to assure adequate safety precautions for patients, their families, nurses, and other healthcare employees for the escalating H1N1 “swine flu” pandemic.

Many hospitals continue to do a poor job, RNs say, at isolating patients with H1N1 symptoms and other steps to limit contagion, or provide sufficient fit-tested N95 respirators and other protective gear for healthcare workers and patients.

Will anyone be joining in the strike?  Do you think it's a good idea?

It is a really bad idea.... nurses can be replaced in a matter of days.

There are other ways to express their unhappiness with how it is being handled with out shorting the patients that depend on them.  What, are the doctors and administrators going to take care of them?
