Posted 23 days ago i just wanna ask, if is it okay to combine an energy drink with a softdrinks? because, I always do it when i want to keep wake til night, esp during night duties. coffee doesnt work on me, and even a plain energy drink. I usually do mix an energy drink(powdered form) with a mountain dew or sprite. Me and my classmates were all awake, and it doesnt make us feel sleepy, round the clock, it keeps us fully awake.. We dont feel any side effects on it, we knew that both of that drinks were high in caffeine and it will make us tachycardic. I tried to search about it on net, but i cant find the straight answer for it. any opinions..? :) thanks

| Posted 23 days ago check the caffeine levels of the drink plus the sodas, see how many cups of coffee it is equivalent to. Really, I think what you describe isn't that much (depeding on the content of the energy drink). I used to be up to 15 cups of coffee per day - I was getting shaky (literally, hands shaking) so I cut back. So now I have maybe 4 cups per day. |

| Posted 22 days ago thanks for the response sir.rick :) um, as i did my research/review bout the energy drink that we used to mix with a softdrink, it is said that 3 times more caffeine than a cup of coffee. 3 cups of coffee is equal to one sachet of 'extra joss' energy drink. it contains 50mg of caffeine per sachet. before, i used to drink redbull and lipovitan, but.. as the extra joss came out, we tried it. it tastes much better than redbull... but,,, the only thing that im concerned and worried is... that energy drink got lots of aspartame.. and sometimes.. we also feel some palpitations.. | Posted 22 days ago Looking around the internet, coffee varies, but Sprite has zero and Mountain Dew has 54 mg in a can. Doesn't sound like you're getting too much - maybe like four cups of coffee. To some that may be a lot, but I doubt it's harmful!
