Hello! I am really happy I found you guys or should I say that you all found me. A couple of years ago I attempted to go back to further my education in nursing by obtaining a RN degree. I did fairly well until the very last course which was Med-Surge II. Sadly I fell the course twice--once by a fraction of a point. The second time around by 4 points. I tried to re-enter several times only to hear no or maybe but you will have to start all over. It's not that I'm totally against starting over it's just that I gave up so much the first time around. I'm a single parent now (my relationship soured during school d/t lack of attention) so starting over from the beginning is not that appealing to me. Do anyone have any suggestions? Maybe even where I could transfer all my credits towards so that they won't continue to lie in state. Did I mention this was back in 2003---Help!!

Have you tried an on-line program? It would allow you to still work and spend time with your family, but go to school at the same time at your own pace.

Funny you should bring that up! I have recently been inquiring about some of the choices out there. Do you know of any great programs?

I went though Excelsior. It was hard, but I got through it! You need to check with you board of nursing and see which programs that they accept. Excelsior is accredited and NC accepted it.
