Patients, what have we learned from them?

Posted over 3 years ago This is a compair and contrast with a post I put on Nursing talk today (13NOV2009) being fitting for Friday the 13th. So what do the Anonymous Discussion folks have to say. I'm sure it may be more negative in ways, but let us see. Below is the question I posed in the Nursing Talk section: So what have we learned from our patients? What changes have we made in our lives because of what we have seen of theirs? What changes have we made to our assessment skills? How we eat, how we live, exercise or not, the chances we take? I exercise more now, more cardio than any other. I eat much smarter. I listen to my patients more instead of sugesting. I find ways into their mindset or lack of as well. I have found a lot of paths that I try to not go down myself by looking at their mistakes. I consider the battles they have won as well. Nursing has been as much of a change of a job as it has been a change in lifestyle. For the better too. How about yourself?
