Hi nursing students! Are there any resources that you would like to see on NursingLink that would help you get through nursing school?

I am always collecting tips and tricks to get and stay organized, as well as suggestions for supplies students have found invaluable in clinicals or study guides that have helped them through lectures.

I've always found that pocket guides are invaluable, especially when you are in clinicals. Informed makes a couple for nurses.

I've also found it helpful to make my own flashcards. Writing all of that stuff down forces you to memorize it. Especially with Pathophysiology and Pharmacology.

Two thoughts.... don't forget about any Canadian nursing students who write the CRNE instead of the NCLEX. Also... maybe thoughts/ideas/hints for new grads transitioning from being a student to a real nurse.

Thanks for the shout-out to Canadian nurses!

The CRNE definitely offers its own set of unique challenges when compared to the NCLEX. Waiting up to three months for results!!! ACK! That was the biggest challenge.

And for us in Quebec we write a different test! It's 100 short answer questions and the a second part is 10 or 12 OSCE practical tests...! Talk about NUTS.

Can anyone recommend a good NCLEX study guide? I heard that students should study the NCLEX books along with the course work to prepare us for the exam. Any truth to that?
