| Posted over 3 years ago I know how depressed you feel. I failed my NCLEX the first time also. did you take a review course such as Kaplan? I did not before my first time, but I took Kaplans reviewbefore my second try and I felt a lot more confident and passed. Just keep studying and do a lot of practice questions. John L. | Posted over 3 years ago HI, TRY NOT TO BE DISCOURAGED. I TOO FAILED MY BOARDS. I RECENTLY FINALLY PASSED THE NCLEX. GO TO THE BOOK STORE AND GET "SAUNDERS Q & A REVIEW FOR THE NCLEX-RN EXAMINATION 4TH EDITION". TRY TO DO THE WHOLE REVIEW BOOK. ALSO THERE IS A CD ROM. ON THE CD, CLICK ON STUDY MODE, THEN CONTEXT. THE 3RD COLUMN WILL HAVE A LIST OF ALL THE DIFFERENT SUBJECTS. CLICK ON ANY SUBJECT AND DO THE PRACTICE QUESTIONS. IF YOU NEED TO READ ON THAT SUBJECT, THEN DO THAT FIRST , THEN DO THE PRACTICE QUESTIONS. TRY TO DO ALL OF THE SUBJECTS... ESPECIALLY THE PRIORITIZING AND DELEGATION SECTION. ALSO BUY THE BOOK "PRIORITIZATION, DELEGATION & ASSIGNMENT... PRACTICE EXERCISES FOR MEDICAL-SURGICAL NURSING" . 8 TO 10 QUESTIONS THAT ARE VERY SIMILIAR HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO SHOW UP ON THE NCLEX. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLETE ALL OF THIS BEFORE YOU TAKE THE NCLEX AGAIN. ALSO, IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THE ROLE OF THE LPN... WHAT THE LPN CAN AND CANNOT DO. YOU WILL HAVE DELEGATION QUESTIONS ABOUT LPN"s & CNA"s. BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THESE TWO BOOKS WILL BE A VERY GOOD HELP. THEY ARE INTENSE, BUT NECESSARY. GOOD LUCK!!!!! |
