Posted over 3 years ago I got an Ipod Touch for my birthday back in November only to find out it was a real blessing because I could use it for nursing school. I was in a restaurant oneday and I met a med student who swore by this program called Epocrates. I got the free version on Itunes and found it to be cool! There are upgrades of the version that do everything from IV calculations to diagnoses let alone pharmacology. Have you guys ever heard of it?

Posted over 3 years ago I pay the fee for the upgrade on Epocrates. I have used it for years on both palm pilot and my iPhone. Man will not be free until the last lawyer is strangled with the entrails of the last priest. With apologies to Voltaire

Posted over 3 years ago I saw the Ipod touch phone for nurses, when I was taking a IV certification class. A classmate had one. It is a great nursing education tool. Thinking of getting one. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health.

Posted over 2 years ago A classmate of mine uses Epocrates, it really came in handy when we were doing IVPB and she saw the medications could not be infused together! It's literally a life saver!

Posted over 2 years ago Yes. I love it. It is very helpful. I remember going through a list of medications with an elderly patient and she could not remember most of the names of the meds she was currently taking. She kept saying stuff like, "Is that the small blue pill?" Well, having epocrates on your iphone is such a blessing. I looked up her meds and showed her the pictures of the pills. She said, "Oh yes! I take that every morning!" thank goodness for iphones and their wonderful apps!!
