Posted almost 6 years ago My whole life I've had this weird habit of holding in my sneezes. I still sneeze, but I don't expel anything out of my nose or mouth? Is this a bad / harmful habit? |

| Posted almost 6 years ago I don't think that holding in your sneezes is hurting you but sneezing is nature's way of getting rid of irritants. Do you get sick very often? |

| Posted over 5 years ago My husband tries to hold his sneezes in too. I always sneeze 3 times in a row. Do you know why we say "God bless you" when someone sneezes? Because in the olden days, it was felt when a person sneezed, just for that instant, the body was left open to the spirit world and demons could enter. Saying "GOD BLESS YOU" keeps the evil spirits out. |
