I have my family and my Pug. Those days when I wonder why I became a nurse, they're always here for me.

Go to the farm and spend time with my 10 horses. Cleaning, feeding, dropping hay what ever needs to be done. Then I ride for awhile. Ride to where nobody is around just for the peace and quite. Living in WV this is not hard to do

I do cardio exercise at the gym for a minimum of 40 minutes a few days a week. I throw in weight-training depending on the time I have left to spare. Cleaning house is the other stress reliever.

Stress. hum. let's see now what do I do. Well I think that there are times in my life where I have expierenced something like stress, tho I can't imagine doing anything about it. So as for stress I must give this some thought, just what are the stressors in my life. What was the question, oh yeah , I type streaming consiousness.

ljr3418, as always, hilarious.

Whenever I am stressed I focus on deep breathing. Maybe a few yoga moves like Child's Pose to calm or a Tree-standing balance position to center myself.

I might also go on a good run or take an hour to treat myself and get my nails done.

I sleep. This may sound strange but think about it no one bothers you for those few hours and the problems of the day go away. Try it. It always does me wonders.

I got so stressed few months back. It was really overwhelming and mentally exhausting. Couldn't sleep for nights. Took tylenol PM but doesn't work for me. Kind of frustrating sometimes, couldn't think of relaxation techniques or stress relief methods. No one to talk to sometimes, the heavier the stress will be, couldn't express it out.
