Posted about 3 years ago I am an ADN nurse & have considered going back to school for my BSN. What are some good reasons to go from ADN to BSN? I can think of a few: more knowlege (plus a refresher of what you already learned, but may have sort of forgotten if you have been out for a while, like me), personal growth, career advancement, more job opportunities. Is it really easier to get a job as a BSN nurse (rather than a ADN nurse)? I am sure that experience probably matters more than anything sometimes (whether or not you have a higher degree). Is the pay higher? What are some good reasons to go from ADN to BSN? Thanks! Sam |

| Posted about 3 years ago I think one advantage that it might have is that if anything ever happens to you where you couldn't work for physical reasons as a floor nurse then you could teach in an LVN program. I plan on finishing up to my masters. I graduate with my associates in May though, so I have a ways to go. |
