Posted over 5 years ago Okay. sorry it has been a while.. but here is the low down.. k. oceana and i are the judges for this event.. weekly there will be a new topic... The one for this week is... "If you had one chance to "rescue the world", what would you choose and why would you choose this..also why is it important to you... all 3 things in this topic must be discussed and at the end of the week, we will clarify a winner... since we started late, and i know you are dedicated to your families, and jobs, and this is probably the last thing on your mind at the end of the day i will let this topic run for 2 weeks, i will be on here a couple days out the week and i will be checking... i will send a personal comment back to the winner and the discussion on another topic will begin thereafter...

| Posted over 5 years ago I would pass a law to stop the production of genetically engineered foods. Since GE foods have been introduced into our diets, Cancers, weakened immune systems, kids are maturing at younger ages, and last but not least, the foods do not taste the same. I would reequire all farmers to produce wholesome, healthy foods free of pesticides and chemicals providing grants and ways of making sure that these food are tested and the farmers are in compliance. As a nurse this is very important to me because I see the devastating effects GE foods have on us, the animals, and our environment. We need to be educated on this topic of GE foods and make every effort to buy and eat organic as much as we possibly can or grow our own if we are able. |
