Posted over 3 years ago Hello all you OR nurses out there, I am taking the CNOR exam at the end of the month and am really starting to stress over this. Wondering in the short time I have left to study, what I should focus on the most? I have heard the exam is really difficult. Any feedback would be great!!! |

| Posted over 3 years ago Hello,...I took the CNOR exam back in 2006 and I thought it was very easy. I took the test cold turkey without studying and I passed. OR nursing is very easy as far as concepts even though it can be labor intensive setting up for some of the complex cases. Make sure you study the effects of local anesthetics such as Lidocaine and Marcaine with and without Epinephrine. On my test, I didn't have many CSS questions regarding sterilization but some friends of mine had plenty of it on their test. Make sure you are familiar with the CDC Wound Classification system for your Class I, II, III, and IV cases. Know your positioning and the nerves you are trying to protect. You will do fine on the exam. Don't stress...
