Posted about 3 years ago You have to market yourself to firms that specialize in medical malpractice, who might hire in-house nurses to review cases, but also to any firm that does personal injury work. They will have need for a consultant if and when they take a malpractice or medical negligence case. I'm not a nurse consultant, but a consulting attorney with an RN license. Any consulting business is a matter of networking and letting all the potential clients know you're out there, and can do the job for them.

Posted about 3 years ago Hi! Actually I retired from State service where I was a managing attorney for the Dept of Health & Senior Services, Enforcement unit. But I have practiced trial law, and also hand-on nursing. Now I just have the consulting business - mostly for nursing homes & assisted living facilities, helping them achieve compliance with state & federal regulations.

Posted 6 months ago It's expensive at first, however once you are a certified LNC you can make over $60/hour working from home. I know a couple of LNC in Florida who have joined American Nurses Union, their website is www.americannursesunion.com They work remotely and get to advocate on behalf of nurses.
